Professional Background

I have been a professional milliner for 15 years now.

I won the Clothes Show Needlematch Competition televised on BBC1 in 1993 with a hat designed and made by myself. Philip Treacy was the judge.

Since then I have enjoyed working with top milliner Stephen Jones based in London and have gained a wealth of experience and had fabulous opportunities which include making hats for top designers like John Galliano in Paris, Marc Jacobs, Comme des Garcons and many more.

I regularly go to Paris to work at Paris fashion week and have also made hats for Kylie Minogue's last tour and Dita von Teese's wedding.

When I am not working elsewhere I make my own collection of bespoke hats in my studio in Southampton. I make hats and headdresses for special occasions and like to individually design hats according to each customers requirements.
